Located on the sunny eastern slopes of Oregon's
Cascade Mountains, Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert Resort & Casino sits at the
heart of the scenic 600,000 Warm Springs Reservation.
Less than two hours from Portland, the year-round destination resort
features a unique high desert landscape that is characterized by sunny
days, mild temperatures, and an abundance of geologic features and outcroppings.
For meeting planners, the resort's recently expanded and renovated convention
center boasts 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, with 13 meeting
rooms including two ballrooms accommodating groups as large as 400. Kah-Nee-Ta's
lodging options include 138 remodeled Lodge rooms and 30 Village rooms,
accommodating overnight groups up to 245 people.
And because clear thinking and productive meetings are the product of
a relaxed mind and rejuvenated body, Kah-Nee-Ta offers a variety of recreation
and gaming opportunities intended to inject new life |

into meetings, conferences, retreats and conventions.
To relax, resort guests can enjoy the soothing waters of Kah-Nee-Ta's
Eurospa, Spa Wanapine, where water flows directly from underground hot
springs to the spa facilities and is used in most treatments. In fact,
the water emerging from underground is so hot at 130 degrees that it has
to be cooled before it can be used at the spa. The 4,000 square-foot facility
was constructed in 1998, and features seven treatment rooms, a private
hydrotherapy tub, a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, fitness room and private
tanning beds.
The same waters that feed Spa Wanapine also fill the resort's double
Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool. Open year round, the pool features
two hot tubs, expansive decks, a 140-foot water slide, a series of unique
bear and salmon water fountain features, and full locker facilities.
A challenging 18-hole golf course provides golfers with a scenic experience
as it winds its way along the valley floor and across
the Warm Springs River. The course is open year round,

weather permitting, and is available for groups
and tournaments.
When the sun sets on Kah-Nee-Ta's 300 days of sunshine, guests can enjoy
the resort's 25,000 square foot casino, which features more than 300 slot
machines, six Blackjack tables and a Poker room spread across two floors.
The resort's recently renovated and expanded dining facilities include
The Chinook Room (casual, family style) and The Juniper Room (fine dining),
both serving fresh Northwest regional cuisine.
The Chinook Room features buffet dining with cooked-to-order entrees,
while The Juniper Room provides a more intimate fine dining atmosphere
with natural juniper accents and expansive etched glass.
Nearby, The Museum at Warm Springs houses one of the world's largest
collections of Plateau Native American artifacts. Built in 1993, the 25,000
square foot facility is Oregon's oldest tribal museum, and is open 362
days a year.
Other popular resort activities include guided horseback riding at Chief
Heath Stables, recreational kayaking in the Warm Springs River and hiking
numerous interpretive trails around the resort. |
