Set on beautiful, sparkling Penobscot Bay,
Maine, this 5 room country bed and breakfast is ideal
for
small company retreats and travelers visiting
the rock-bound coast in search of the many fine galleries,
museums and antique shops or those seeking the whale-watching
and sailing experience. The Watchtide's ocean view makes
it an especially popular choice for business and leisure
travelers.
Prior to opening her first B&B 15 years
ago, owner Nancy-Linn Nellis had been a labor relations
negotiator for the construction industry in Pennsylvania.
At the time the B&B concept was more of a way to help
pay the mortgage on a great old house while enjoying the
company of some interesting guests. Now, it's a love.

Spectacular vistas and quaint old world charm aside,
Nancy-Linn's uplifting hospitality and her award winning
breakfasts really are the thing at Watchtide.
Mornings, awaken to a sweet and savory breakfast exquisitely
prepared and served on the beautiful 60' long wicker furnished
sun porch overlooking their bird sanctuary and Penobscot
Bay with all the splendor of
ships - large and small.
Among the temptations Nancy-Linn choses from, breakfast
includes a variety of succulent native berries and Maine's
own delightful coffees, homemade popovers and her very
own trademarked "Tiger's Original Maine Flavored butters"
